Talk description:

Croutons are context sensitive notifications for Android. Unlike the Toast class they know where they belong. They are provided as an Open Source library that can be used within any Android project. The talk will be an introduction into the library as well as a Demo that aims to show practical usage of Croutons.

About speaker:

After moving to Berlin in 2009 Benjamin started developing Applications for Android. Shortly after that he became manager of Berlin's Android Usergroup "Android in Berlin" wich holds monthly meetups. He has co-organized Android related community events such as "GTUG Community Weekend" and "Global Android Dev Camp". While studying Business Computing he and his team developed the Guinness World Record holding Open Source App Blinkendroid. Further is a member of c-base hackerspace's mobile interfaces project that is currently focusing on home automation. Since 2010 Benjamin is working as a Software Developer at Neofonie Mobile.
